Precision Pest Control works Apache Junction from the RV resorts and manufactured home parks along Apache Trail out to the custom lots below the Superstition Mountains. The mix of skirted homes, seasonal residents and open desert here calls for a different approach than a standard tract subdivision.

Apache Junction sits right against the Superstitions and the desert comes with it. Bark scorpions are the constant, along with black widows, desert recluse spiders, giant desert centipedes, pack rats and Africanized honey bee swarms in spring. Rattlesnake calls are common on the eastern lots. In the manufactured home parks we add mice under skirting, roof rats, German cockroaches moving between adjoining units, and the pigeons that roost on park model awnings and carports.
Manufactured and park model homes need to be treated as the structures they are, and plenty of companies do not bother. The skirted crawl space underneath is a dark, protected, temperature-stable void, which makes it ideal harborage for rodents, scorpions and widows, and it is invisible from the street. We open and inspect it, treat it, and repair the skirting gaps that let animals under in the first place. Utility penetrations through the floor are another standard entry that gets missed. None of that is solved by treating a doorstep.
The other half of the job is the desert. Washes coming down out of the Superstitions carry water and wildlife straight through this town after a storm, and properties near one see everything that moves along it. We treat the wash-facing side of a property as the priority, seal what can be sealed, and schedule around monsoon rather than around a calendar. For the seasonal residents who close a place up for the summer, we do a closing inspection and an opening one, which catches most problems before they become a five-month infestation.
